What was once a tired Tuscan styled house has been completely re-built as a contemporary and flexible family home. A discreet street entrance leads to established gardens that were retained by building upon the existing footprint while additional lawns, gardens and a swimming pool were added above an excavated garage level to the rear. The double height living area provides a spatial and visual connection to the upper level. Window openings and terraced areas are positioned to take advantage of all available views while living areas also open to private enclosed outdoor spaces. This house is fully automated so that lighting, climate and pool functions can be managed from centrally located ipads.
